How to recognise a reliable escort agency

Anyone searching for 'escort' plus a city name sees dozens of agencies that all look local, discreet and licensed. Some of them genuinely are. Others are dozens of near-identical websites run by one party, presenting themselves in each city as a different, local agency without saying who is behind them. That is not necessarily dangerous for you as a client, but you do not get what the site promises: no local agency, no lady who lives around the corner, and nobody visibly responsible if things go wrong. With these six checks you can see within two minutes who you are dealing with.

1. Is there a licence in the agency's own name, and whose is it?

Escort mediation requires a licence in the Netherlands. That licence is issued by the municipality where the agency is based and applies to that one company; with that licence, an agency may have its ladies travel throughout the country. So that is normal: Dutch Escort also works nationwide with a single Rotterdam licence. The difference lies in openness. A reliable agency states the number, the municipality and the company name, so you can see that it is one company working under the same name everywhere. If you see the same licence number on websites that present themselves as different agencies, with a different name per city and often with the dots or hyphens slightly different, then that is not twenty local agencies but one organisation that would rather not show it. Our number is on the Trust page.

2. Can you find the KvK number, and does the company name match?

Every Dutch company is registered with the Chamber of Commerce (KvK), and that number belongs on the website. Some sites explain at length why they do not show their KvK details. That is their choice, but it means you cannot check who you are meeting and who is liable. Look the number up at kvk.nl: the company name, the place of business and the activity should match what the site claims.

3. Is the phone number genuinely local, or a diversion?

A local area code inspires trust, and that is exactly why they are bought per city and diverted to a single switchboard. The tell-tale sign: every city site of the same family has a number from the same series, and whoever you call, you reach the same people in one place. That need not be a problem, but then you know that 'our office in your city' does not exist. Feel free to ask where the agency is based and where the lady comes from; an honest agency will tell you.

4. Are the photos genuine and recent?

Agencies with dozens of websites seldom have dozens of teams of ladies. You often see the same photos on several city sites, or stock photos of people who live in no city at all. A reliable agency works with genuine, recent photos of the ladies you can actually book, and shows where they work. At Dutch Escort, each lady's home base is shown, and on every city page you can see who is closest to you.

5. Does the site's story match reality?

Watch for contradictions: a site that says 'since 2005' while the domain was registered last year, an 'escort agency Rotterdam' that links to twenty other cities on its partner page, or rates that differ per city while it is the same ladies. Look at the partner page too: if a site mainly links to other sites of its own, you are reading a network, not an agency.

6. How does the agency handle your details and your payment?

A reliable agency does not ask for the full amount in advance, works with a neutral debit or cash payment on arrival, and explains beforehand what the rate is including travel. Verifying your address on a first booking is normal and in fact a good sign: it protects the lady and ensures you are taken seriously. At Dutch Escort you pay in cash at the start of the appointment or in advance via iDEAL. For distances over 80 km we ask for a 30% deposit. The agreed amount is fixed.

Frequently asked questions

Is an escort agency without a visible KvK number illegal?
Not by definition, but it is a reason to ask further. An agency that operates legally has a Chamber of Commerce (KvK) registration and a municipal licence and can simply show them. If a site hides those details, you cannot verify who you are doing business with.
How do I check a licence?
Ask the agency for the number, the municipality and the company name, and enquire with that municipality (licensing or prostitution policy department). A licence belongs to one company at one business address; that company may work nationwide with it. The warning sign is not that an agency is active in several cities, but that the same number turns up on websites that present themselves as different companies.
Why do I see so many 'local' escort agencies with almost the same website?
Because one organisation can build dozens of city websites, each with a different name and a different phone number. Working nationwide is perfectly fine in itself, and we do it too. The difference is that an honest agency does so under one name and tells you where the lady comes from. Look at the partner page, the company name and the licence number to recognise it.
How does that work at Dutch Escort?
Dutch Escort is one agency under one name, based in Rotterdam, with an operating licence from the municipality of Rotterdam and a Chamber of Commerce (KvK) registration in its name. With that single licence we work throughout the Netherlands: our ladies live spread across the country and on every city page you can honestly see who works closest to you and where she comes from. Our details are on the Trust page.
